Founded in the heart of Canarsie, The GameStrong Foundation was born from a vision to uplift Brooklyn’s youth ages 13–25. Our founders saw firsthand the challenges teens and young adults face—stress, self-doubt, and a lack of safe spaces to grow—and knew something had to change.
Our Story, Values & Impact
The GameStrong Foundation began in the heart of Brooklyn, driven by the belief that every young person deserves a safe space to grow, heal, and thrive. Community members who saw the challenges facing local youth came together to create the GameStrong Foundation. Together, we offer mentorship, mental health support, and education that inspire real change.
Our core values—compassion, resilience, and empowerment—guide every program and partnership. Above all, we’re dedicated to building a caring space where teens and young adults feel seen, heard, and supported. No matter their background or struggles, they know they belong.
Since our founding, The GameStrong Foundation has touched the lives of hundreds of youth and families in Canarsie and beyond. Through workshops, one-on-one mentoring, and community events, we help young people build confidence, develop life skills, and discover their purpose.
